Welcome to the fourth beer of the week, and on it's new home of every Saturday--not quite as thirsty as Thursday, but still pretty parched. Wait, don't go--
Fresh home from an excursion in Arizona, I figured it was only fair for this week's beer to be from the Grand Canyon state itself, and also named after that giant hole in the ground. Yes, I'm featuring yet another amble ale this week, from the Grand Canyon Brewing Company & Distillery, based out of Williams, Arizona, but with a second location in the city of Flagstaff.

I love amber ales, I'll admit it: the rich, malty flavor, never too light or heavy... they're just such great all around beers--when done correctly. Grand Canyon Brewing does indeed do it correctly: a wonderful bronze color, hints of caramel, slightly sweet--but not too sweet, and the perfect balance of heaviness. It's the perfect beer for anytime, but I have to say, enjoying it in the cooler, fall weather of Flagstaff, Arizona made it that much better.
Enjoying a pint in the taproom.
Grand Canyon Brewing Company has quietly become one of my favorites in the state of Arizona, with a wide range of tasty beers, and an excellent brew pub to match. Their amber ale is definitely my go to though, and usually my first round when I visit their taproom. The good news is though, is that it can be found in cans in stores across the state, including the market in the national park that it's named after. Cheers!
